THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
The members total around 18 million members globally with an increase of more than one million annually, believing in the worship of the Creator God, the Trinity or Godhead and the Bible as their only creed. They preach a distinctive message of Jesus Coming soon, salvation by grace through faith alone, daily spiritual growth, honouring the Sabbath as a day of rest and worship given to mankind as a gift at Creation, the importance of each individual as being unique and spending time in prayer and Bible study each day. Family life is important as well as healthy lifestyles. Adventists have a strong youth programme and one of the largest educational, mission, disaster relief, and health care systems in the world. Historically the roots of Sabbath keeping come from each continent of the Earth, and can trace its origins as far back as the time when God created the Earth, God’s spiritual teachings, with groups of men and women staying faithful to the Word of God during the many centuries of world history, in spite of religious and political upheaval, persecution, the struggle of mankind, and the great controversy between good and evil.
Adventists traditionally have a love for the Word of God and teach that we are living in the end times of Bible Prophecy.
